Challenge
A major South African mining company wanted to establish an 18,000 t/a battery-grade nickel sulphate facility but needed to know, before committing capital, whether the concept was technically sound and commercially viable.

Outcome
MET63 developed the process flowsheet, ran a site selection study, and conducted laboratory-scale testwork to validate the concept flowsheet. A pre-feasibility study followed, giving the client a clear determination of the project’s economic viability.
